"In fact my first question when I heard about it was did they come out of the campaign, because that could be a little dicey", Trump said in the interview, a day after his personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, implicated him and said the maneuver was created to sway the election.

Donald Trump accused his former lawyer Michael Cohen Wednesday of making up "stories" to cut a plea deal, after the longtime fixer implicated him in campaign finance violations on perhaps the worst day of his tumultuous presidency.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said impeaching Mr. Trump is "not a priority" for Democrats, telling the Associated Press after the Cohen and Manafort court decisions that "impeachment has to spring from something else".

The president has repeatedly voiced frustration that Attorney General Jeff Sessions has been unwilling to intervene into investigations into Trump and his allies, including the ongoing special counsel probe into possible collusion between his campaign and Russian Federation. The conviction and guilty plea do not rule out the possibility of either former Trump associate cooperating with Mueller's probe in order to reduce potential jail sentences. His lawyer Rudy Giuliani has said the payments were made to spare Trump and his family embarrassment and were unrelated to the campaign.

Cohen appears to be open to a plea deal. Cohen is referred to by the President as "the rat".

Messages left with attorneys for Cohen and Trump were not immediately returned Wednesday. And in this particular case with Donald Trump, I mean his argument is much, much weaker.

What other dirt might Michael Cohen have on Donald Trump?

Using Electronic Cigarettes Can Damage DNA
The saliva of a small group of e-cigarette users contained increased levels of three DNA-damaging compounds, the researchers said. If cells are unable to fix the damage to allow the DNA to replicate normally, there is a chance that cancer will develop.

Obama's 2008 campaign was fined $375,000 by the Federal Election Commission for failing to file a series of 48-hour notices for around $1.8 million in campaign contributions in the closing weeks of the campaign, according to a document obtained by Politico.

The president has attacked the investigation for months, repeatedly slamming it as a "witch hunt".

Cohen, who showed fierce loyalty as Trump's personal lawyer, said in court that Trump directed him to arrange payments of $130,000 to porn star Stormy Daniels and $150,000 to former Playboy model Karen McDougal to buy their silence about alleged affairs before the election.

'If anyone is looking for a good lawyer, I would strongly suggest that you don't retain the services of Michael Cohen!' Trump wrote.

The account contradicts that of Cohen, who has revealed he paid off porn actress Stormy Daniels and model Karen McDougal at Mr Trump's instruction, in order to influence the 2016 United States election campaign. Both claim to have had affairs with Trump.

Mr Cohen pleaded guilty to eight criminal charges of tax evasion, bank fraud and campaign finance violations.

And the man who once said he would "take a bullet" for his boss, pointed to Trump as co-conspirator, alleging he acted "in coordination and at the direction of a candidate for federal office".
