Big Sean performs on the main stage on Day 1 of Wireless Festival 2018 at Finsbury Park
Whether one agrees with Kaepernick's protest or not, it's still odd that EA has seemingly made a decision to censor his name in the upcoming Madden NFL 19.
EA Sports apologized in a statement for omitting Kaepernick's name, and called the song's adjustment "an unfortunate mistake". "We messed up, and the edit should never have happened", EA said. However, it's not only his physical being that is being omitted in the game - even his name seems to have been erased by Madden, treated as though it was some type of a vulgar word.
The words in that verse are supposed to say, "Feed me to the wolves now I lead the pack and s--". However, he does not appear in Madden 19, and remains unsigned.
The song in question, rapper YG's "Big Bank", was edited to remove a verse sung by rapper Big Sean on the Madden 19 soundtrack, as if it were profanity, according to USA Today.
Suhana Khan takes her first step in showbiz with a photoshoot
And that can mess with your self-confidence. "It's annoying, but I keep telling myself other people have bigger problems". Suhana added that the pictures from her private Instagram account get leaked and so many people start talking about it.
Kaepernick began protesting police violence and racial profiling in 2016 by first sitting, and then kneeling, during the NFL's pre-game performance of the national anthem. But if that's the case, why bother putting a track featuring Kaepernick's name in the game at all - much less two years in a row?
The musician also said in the tweet that no one from his team approved the change.
Update: EA Sports released a statement apologizing and explaining that it was a mistake. In 2017, Kaepernick opted out of his contract with the San Francisco 49ers, making him a free agent, though he has not since been signed to a team despite being a far better quarterback than many others who were signed.
Then in November of previous year, Kaepernick filed a grievance report against the NFL as a whole regarding a conspiracy to keep him out of the league entirely. Unfortunately for Colin Kaepernick fans, the superstar was cut from the game's song, which has left mixed reactions as a result.
