The 29-year-old was with the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team since 2014, winning seven races during his time there.

"I'm about to leave the Red Bull family in a very good way, I owe pretty much my Formula 1 career to them, thanks to them because of them I am going to McLaren as they put me into Formula 1 and have been able to do a career thanks to them".

"There's a lot of unknowns I guess with everything and the move, where I'm going to be next year, there's still a certain element of risk so nothing was really that clear cut but sure, Honda still need to prove themselves at the front", said Ricciardo.

Now, Red Bull are looking to a future without Ricciardo in the drivers seat after dismissing the possibility of moving to tempt Fernando Alonso to stay in the sport.

Ricciardo has endured a mixed season, highlighted by memorable wins in China and Monaco, but has been forced to retire in four of the 12 races. "If he wanted a change of scenery I'm not sure it's the best scenery to go to".

Like Hamilton, Ricciardo will leave a private team to join a manufacturer. "Honestly, there wasn't one key factor other than really myself and wanting to have a change of scenery".

Pierre Gasly was caught slightly unawares by the call from Helmut Marko saying he would be promoted from Toro Rosso to Red Bull next season.

Followed by the ceremony, the couple also planned an engagement bash with close family and loved ones from the film fraternity. Adding further, he stated, "She's a Water sign and such people travel a lot and do well away from their place of birth".

Sainz Jr. added that his initial discussions with McLaren dated back to 2016 and expressed thanks to Red Bull for providing him with the platform to facilitate the move.

"What they've done in the last two years encouraged me and developments made at the factory and what they are doing with their finances, where they are spending and the way they are doing it, showed me they want to win and try to get there as soon as possible".

"It's pretty incredible how quickly things go in Formula 1", said Gasly.

When asked if he saw any signs Ricciardo was growing frustrated at Red Bull, something he revealed was the case on Thursday, Verstappen said: "I don't know, I don't think so".

"I had to wait about what happened in Red Bull and take my own decision and it turned out to be good".

"Pierre is in his second year in F1, so he is missing some experience but his pure speed, especially in qualifying, is very close to Max". During the weekend, we were talking and renegotiating again.
