The San Francisco 49ers are in Houston this week in advance of their preseason bout with the Texans on Saturday, Aug. 18.

Joint-practice season is here, and so are the fights.

All-Pro receiver DeAndre Hopkins and defensive back Jimmie Ward got into it on the first rep of the joint practice between the two teams at Methodist Training Center in Houston.

The two engaged with Ward throwing several punches at a helmetless Hopkins.

Hopkins wasn't happy that Ward knocked his helmet off, and then went to knock the ball out of his hands after making the catch. Teammates and coaches from both sides rushed into the melee to break it up.

Brexit Britain: Unemployment Lowest in 40 Years, Wages Up, EU Migrants Down
Between May and July 2018, there were 829,000 job vacancies in the country - more than 50,000 more than the previous year. The high number of vacancies suggests that the number of Brits in employment could rise significantly in the near future.

Both players were ejected from practice after the fight, according to Bay Area News Group's Cam Inman.

The pair fell on the ground, with Ward on top of Hopkins.

That wasn't the only noticeable action from the day, however.

DeAndre Hopkins was involved in a practice melee Wednesday.
