Dogboe defends featherweight title with first round KO

Ghana's Isaac "Royal Storm" Dogboe proved too strong for Japan's Hidenori Otake on Saturday night at the Gila River Arena in Glendale, USA.

This was Dogboe's first defense of the WBO title he won by scoring an 11th-round stoppage of former titlist Jessie Magdaleno in April.

The Ghana fighter, who was raised in the United Kingdom, put Otake down twice before a third flurry prompted a stoppage after two minutes and 18 seconds.

Dogboe (20-0, 13 KOs) blasted down Otake (31-3-3, 14 KO) with a good hook in the second minute of the first.

The Japanese managed to beat the count, but couldn't stand the heat after Dogboe followed up with a flurry of devastating shots causing the referee to intervene and wave off the fight.

'Kissing bugs' are spreading their loving bite throughout the south
The American Heart Association recently published a statement to help medical practitioners diagnose and treat the infection. The American Heart Association warned about Chagas disease caused by a parasite spread by the kissing bug.

Otake fell short in a WBA title fight against Scott Quigg, proving his toughness in a points loss, but Dogboe intends to gain the attention of fellow belt holders by breaking his opponent's resistance before the final bell.

"I'm so humbled and I'm thankful to all my fans in the United Kingdom", said the unbeaten 23-year-old.

"I knew i will stop Otake and i have done it".

"Danny Roman wherever you are i'm ready for you".
