A day when beer lovers around the globe raise a toast to the brewers and enjoy the day chugging on this golden beauty. The annual event, which was founded in 2007 by beer enthusiast Jesse Avshalomov, takes place on the first Friday of every August.

Originally started in Santa Cruz, California, International Beer Day began to celebrate the craft of brewing, and to show appreciation for those involved in the making of beer. It also celebrates beer makers and servers.
