Arsenal's Dennis Bergkamp and Nigel Winterburn celebrate with Thierry Henry who scored Arsenal's first goal against Coventry City during their FA Premiership match at Highbury

New head coach Emery was handed a home clash with Premier League champions Manchester City in his first competitive match after replacing Arsene Wenger. It's going to be hard because we've got so many attackers and so many world-class players, so I've just got to prove that I'm on that level or as good as them so that I can be ahead of them, which is my aim'.

Having regained his first-team place last season the 26-year-old looked set for a new contract until Emery took over as boss.

"We need to continue working for what we want, our process".

Fans and critics have questioned Emery's tactics in both matches and called for more solid defending.

"We won't face Chelsea and Manchester City in the next games, so it doesn't make a difference who we're playing now".

Carragher tweeted: "If him [Mkhitaryan] and Ozil start pressing and running back they'll have a chance!"

Asked by Good Morning Britain if he would prefer his Martini shaken or stirred, he replied: "Stir-fried, actually". Daniel Craig has played James Bond for four films now, Casino Royale , Quantum of Solace , Skyfall , and Spectre .

His colleague Gary Neville said Emery will use this season to find out which players are able to adapt to his style of play. It's not easy but I think he's doing it in the right way. For me personally, I'm enjoying the new sessions, the new training methods and the new ideas, so I'm enjoying my time with him.

"He is only five or six weeks in".

"I used to watch the games with [Wenger] in the long jacket and you don't see that no more", Cole said.

Do you agree with Carragher's point about Ozil and Mkhitaryan?
