Marco Silva, Everton's manager, is anxious to bolster his defence and though they have other options, such as Manchester United's Marcos Rojo and Kurt Zouma of Chelsea, there is confidence they can complete the move in time.

According to French sports daily L'Equipe, Everton have sent a loan offer to Chelsea for Zouma.

The France global has not been linked with a move up to this point but, with United's other targets out of reach, a transfer could be on.

Silva will now consider an approach for Frenchman Zouma, who spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan with relegated Stoke City and is not part of new boss Maurizio Sarri's first-team plans at Stamford Bridge.

Jahlil Okafor Agrees To Sign With Pelicans
The team undoubtedly hopes Okafor and Randle can fill the void DeMarcus Cousins' departure to the Golden State Warriors created. The person spoke to The Associated Press Wednesday on condition of anonymity because the agreement has not been announced.

Shawcross told The Sentinel: "He's quick, he can jump really high, he can pass the ball, he can shoot, he doesn't get beat one-v-one".

Zouma has been linked with a number of clubs and could be available at Chelsea this summer. "He's played a lot of games previously and it's a great test for him to come here". For them to let him go to us is fantastic for us, but surprising.

Whilst that claim is bold, Zouma certainly has bags of potential and in many ways is an ideal Mourinho prototype.
