Fortnite Epic Games 2FA: Enable Two Factor Authentication Guide

A big new update was released today for Fortnite

To sweeten the deal on how players can take that next step towards protecting their account, Epic has offered a free new emote for those that heed their advice. The way a two-factor authentication works is easy.

This is where the two-factor part of your protection comes in, which usually means the second layer of password protection which has been enabled.

Offering an emote as a reward for curbing some of those ill-intentioned efforts is an interesting way for a developer to encourage players to use security features offered to them, and one that is seemingly a good fit for the emote- and character skin-driven world of Fortnite. That way, if someone steals your password, they won't be able to steal your information or use your details to make purchases, and so on. There are countless articles about the importance of using unique and strong passwords everywhere, but perhaps Epic's decision to incentivize security is the way ahead.

Force India to Race at Belgian GP Under New Name and Ownership
Finalized on Thursday August 16, the new ownership sees the investors - led by Lawrence Stroll - secure the future of the team . Force India were sixth with 59 points before the change of owner, but are now bottom of the championship.

To enable the 2FA security system and get a free Boogie Down emote, Fortnite players should access their accounts from the official Epic Games website. If you're having a bit of trouble figuring it out for yourself, here's a really simple guide on enabling Epic Games two factor authentification! The technology uses two factors - something you have and something you know - to verify your identity and allow you to access accounts. To enable this service email address verification is required.

At the bottom of the page, under the TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION heading, click to ENABLE AUTHENTICATOR APP or ENABLE EMAIL AUTHENTICATION as your two-factor method.
