A parrot stuck on a roof for three days had choice words to say to firefighters who came to its aid this morning. Jessie the Macaw parrot had escaped its home in Cuckoo Hall Lane Edmonton and spent three days sitting on a neighbours

After the bird's owner and the RSPCA animal charity failed to coax her down they called in the fire brigade to resolve the situation.

Firefighters were called to the Macaw's rescue after she escaped from her home in Edmonton and spent three days on a neighbour's roof refusing to come down when her owners and the RSPCA attempted to lure her.

LFB watch manager Chris Swallow told British newspaper Metro that there were concerns that Jessie had refused to come down from the roof because she was injured.

Initially efforts by Edmonton station firefighters to charm the misbehaving bird went to plan, with her responding positively, telling her would-be rescuer that she loved him back.

Crew manager Atinc Horoz climbed up a ladder to save Jessie but was met with a volley of swear words from the parrot, which then flew off.

She had a special message for the brigade, which her owner recorded on video once the macaw was home, safe and sound.

The makers of " Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi " unveiled the film's first look poster on the occasion of Independence Day. The makers chose to launch the first look teaser on Independence day and before that they released the first look poster.

He was even given instructions from the bird's owners to say "I love you" in a bid to encourage her to co-operate.

But we feel it's important to point out that Jessie has great admiration for the courageous crew of firefighters who came to her aid.

"Thankfully it soon became apparent that Jessie was fine and uninjured as she flew off to another roof and then to a tree", said Swallow.

Since the foul-mouthed parrot also speaks Turkish and Greek, Swallow stated they tried telling her to "come" in both languages as well.

But it seems the affection had the opposite affect on Jessie, who simply told the fire fighters to "fuck off".

A spokesperson for the Fire Service said: "As with this incident, the RSPCA should be contacted in the first instance and we would always urge people to do the same if they see an animal stuck or in distress". The RSPCA will then contact the fire brigade if they need assistance.
