Although the eighth season of Game of Thrones will only be 6 episodes long, HBO promises they will be the most intense episodes of the franchise. Airing ahead of the hauntingly attractive Sharp Objects finale, the sizzle reel supposedly features our first glimpse at the fantasy epic's eighth season, but it was thrown in with a bunch of footage from Season 7.

Game of Thrones' final season may be delayed. Joe Bauer, the show's visual effects supervisor, told The Huffington Post that the final season would be eligible for the 2020 Primetime Emmy Awards, not the 2019 honors.

"I'm really going to miss working on a scale and a level like we have for the past nine years", Coster-Waldau said.

HBO just released a sizzle reel that gives us all a taste of the unbelievable shows headed our way on the network in 2019.

In the meantime, fans have the world's shortest teaser from HBO to keep them occupied until a season eight trailer is released.
