Softball-sized hail pummels Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

The zoo will be closed Tuesday so employees can take care of injured animals and fix broken windows and skylights.

Originally it was reported two turkey vultures and a duck were killed by the hail at the zoo. But the Colorado Springs Gazette quoted her as saying only one vulture and one duck were killed.

There were 3,400 people in the zoo at the time and nearly 400 cars in the parking lot experienced extensive damage.

Koch told CNN the zoo would be closed Tuesday to assess the damage.

The zoo was closed on Tuesday as crews take care of injured animals and fix broken windows and skylights. However, all the same locations, including Colorado Springs, Denver and parts of the eastern plains will all have a chance for these isolated cells. Power line collisions and farmers poisoning animal carcasses to kill predators have largely eradicated the population.

Stan Kroenke Q&A: What does the takeover mean for Arsenal?
Usmanov, who has made several attempts to buy out his rival in the past, will receive £550million for his stake in the club. But the AST is unconvinced and said in a statement: "This news marks a awful day for Arsenal Football Club".

The Colorado Springs Fire Department says at least eight people were being treated for traumatic injuries, but additional details were not released. About 400 cars were severely damaged in the zoo's parking lot, the post said.

All 3,400 guests were evacuated from the zoo, the Denver Post also reported.

Guests at the zoo mainly took shelter on their own under whatever was nearby, the spokesperson said.

According to a spokesperson for the zoo, about 300 cars are not driveable due to the hail that fell - some reaching up to 4 inches in diameter (about the size of a softball). Five people were taken to the hospital for hailstone-related injuries, the zoo said.

Several children who were attending the zoo camp on Monday weren't hurt, according to a tweet from the Fire Department.
