Tiger Woods after putting on the 6th green during the second round of the PGA Championship golf tournament at Bellerive Country Club. Unfortunately, his non-birdie, at No. 6, was a triple bogey when he hit his tee shot at the par-3 into the water and then flew the green with his second shot. But it's not likely anyone is going to catch Woodland before the second round is officially complete.

Bellerive is getting battered with low numbers, as the 36-hole cut record of 141 is in danger.

Woodland added a 66 to his opening 64 to complete 36 holes at 130, the lowest total in the championship's 100 years and bettering the mark of 131, which had been shot nine times.

He came back with birdies at the next two holes before making a bogey at No. 9, meaning he didn't have a single par on the front nine.

Play was officially called at 5:33 p.m. and is scheduled to resume Saturday at 7 a.m.

Tiger Woods birdied three of his first seven holes to get to 3 under par before play was suspended.

They say nothing bothers Dustin Johnson.

"I've been battling my iron play really for a couple months, I feel", said the world No 3. So I know what I want to do, I'm just not quite doing it yet.

The former Southern Utah golfer, who is an assistant at Davis Park Golf Course, had shot a 76 in the first round but was much better on Friday.

Look up this weekend for annual meteor shower
The Perseid meteor shower is happening over the weekend, and at its peak viewers should be able to see 60-70 meteors per hour. If you know your constellations, look for Perseus in the northern sky, soon after sunset this time of year.

"I'm happy with the way I scored considering how I played", said Rose, who did not play a practice round after recent back spasms.

Koepka ran off three straight birdies after he made the turn and came to the par-5 ninth at seven-under for the round.

Rickie Fowler, who says he's playing with an oblique strain, is also a 7 under through 10 holes.

"For me as a whole, the putting was kind of just the last piece of the puzzle", said the 34-year-old from Kansas, who admits he is in "enemy territory" in neighbouring Missouri, after a 66.

Woodland followed up a great start with a round good enough to get him in the record book at the PGA Championship.

Kisner birdied six of the first nine holes but opened his second nine with six pars. I mean, there's a lot of Mizzou people out there.

"I'm all right with it", Kisner said. "So they're fighting across fairways at each other".

"The crowds are as big as I've seen", Woodland said. My sister's here. My wife and my little guy are here as well. And that's unusual. I've never had that in my career, and normally I work on the right thing too much and have to back off and work again. "It's pretty cool to have them out".
