Rickie Fowler withdraws from PGA Tour playoff opener due to injury. More

He won't play the first FedEx Cup Playoffs event - the Northern Trust - next week, and his status seems up in the air for for the events after that.

The injury bothered Fowler during the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational and last week's PGA Championship at the Bellerive Country Club, where Fowler was two shots out of the lead heading into the final two rounds but finished tied for 12th. Sometimes (playing a tournament) is a good distraction.

This year Fowler had his best finish in a major championship when he claimed second at the Masters.

Try playing well, and add in the responsibility of being the Ryder Cup captain for your country.

"I'm trying not to think about it at all", said Olesen. Obviously I want to win a major at some point in my career, it's my biggest goal.

Jillette said Trump would ask male cast members "if he'd rather have sex with this woman or that woman", for example. If Donald Trump had not become president, I would tell you all the stories.

When is the 2018 Ryder Cup?

Of the current eight players who have qualified, Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, Justin Thomas, Patrick Reed, Bubba Watson and Webb Simpson would have retained their spots in the team, while Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler would be substituted for Tiger Woods and Bryson DeChambeau.

One player who could stand in Olesen's way this week is two-time Major victor and former world No 1 Martin Kaymer.

As Kaymer goes in search of a 12th European Tour title, the veteran of four Ryder Cup teams believes he's not even half way through his career and can't wait to tee it up in front of the welcoming Swedish fans. Then you need to adjust because it's sometimes overwhelming and not understandable.

It's hard enough to play well on the PGA Tour.
