Kangana Ranaut's Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi is based on the story of Rani Laxmi Bai's battle with the East India Company, which made her one of the first freedom fighters of India. She is seen with a sword and the look is from a war sequence in the movie. In fact after riding the horse for two days straight I got a fever. Apart from Kangana, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi's supporting cast includes Jisshu Sengupta, Suresh Oberoi, Sonu Sood who will play Sadashiv Narayan Rao and Atul Kulkarni who will be seen as Ramachandra Pandurang Tope, popularly known as Tatya Tope. "I have only tried my best to portray her tales of bravery", Kangana said in a statement.
