Klopp: We are the Rocky to City's Drago

After 28 years, is it finally time for Liverpool to win the Premier League title?

After 28 years, is it finally time for Liverpool to win the Premier League title?

Jurgen Klopp insists Liverpool need to "improve everything" to challenge champions Manchester City for the Premier League title this season ahead of their opener against West Ham.

"We want to be, it's clear for ages, champions of England". We had three points from City and they had three points from us.

Ivan Drago is a fictional character in the 1985 film Rocky IV, in which he is Rocky Balboa's rival and the main antagonist.

'We are still Rocky Balboa and not Ivan Drago.

Liverpool spent a reported £176million ($225million, 196million euros) bringing in, among others, Brazilians goalkeeper Alisson and midfielder Fabinho and Klopp hopes to deliver Liverpool's first league title in the Premier League era, with the last of their 18 champions crowns coming in 1990.

Guardiola responded to Klopp's "favourites" assertion by saying: 'Thank you, Jurgen.

"Again, you all ask me about the gap with City, it's nothing to do with City". We did not reach anything so far.

It also describes the building of Jewish settlements as being in the Israeli national interest. The law has faced a lot of criticism both inside and outside of Israel.

"We can't go there and only because we are Liverpool we will win the game there".

"It is hard for us and the other teams too". We were in finals.

"The last few years, I have sat here and had to defend our transfer behaviour, that we sold more than we brought in, but that all made sense". We should try to win it this time. In the league it's exactly the same. We are the ones that have to do more, to fight more, to do all these things.

Liverpool kick off their new Premier League campaign with a home game against West Ham on Sunday, and Klopp's men will be looking to send out a real statement of intent with a convincing win over Manuel Pellegrini's Hammers side.

"Maybe there was some interest or a conversation but it's not a case of Monaco not letting me go to Manchester United or denying me the move, nothing ever really materialised".

"Then we can talk". It's like scientists without checking if it really works.
