I do not make promises.

"If a club wants me, my management and Bayer 04 will take care of it".

Bayer Leverkusen prodigy Leon Bailey has confirmed that Chelsea are showing interest in signing him.

Bailey is a pacy, versatile attacker who ran rings around Bundesliga defenders last season, making 25 appearances in Germany's top tier, scoring nine goals and bagging six assists.

The Reds also have no intention of bidding for Christian Pulisic but another Bundesliga kid wonder in Leon Bailey has confirmed that there is "concrete interest" from Liverpool and Chelsea.

The Jamaican has been heavily tipped for a Leverkusen exit this summer and the German club are deemed to have already turned a £53m bid from Bayern Munich for his services.

The Jamaican winger now plies his trade in Germany with Bayer Leverkusen but has been linked with moves to several English clubs in recent months, as well as AS Roma and Bayern Munich. If not this summer, in one of the upcoming transfer windows.

"He has got special abilities, he is incredibly fast and great at dribbling", Bender told Goal. This example shows that football is a fast-paced business. Serie A heavyweights AS Roma too have been credited with interest in him. Now everybody comes to him and suddenly wants something from him.

Liverpool have been monitoring the 20-year old for some time now, with manager Jurgen Klopp keen on strengthening his attacking options, behind the preferred first-choice trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah.
