T-Mobile Essentials is a new and cheaper unlimited plan with a few caveats

It offers unlimited talk, text and smartphone data.

T-Mobile is making it a little easier for you to get service you want at an affordable rate. As always, T-Mobile is listening to customers, and T-Mobile Essentials is designed for those who say they just want the basics: unlimited talk, text and smartphone data in the US - all at the industry's best price, only $30 per line for a family of four with autopay.

The pricing breaks down as follows: The first line on T-Mobile Essentials costs $60 per month, while the second costs $30.

One other tidbit: T-Mobile will throttle Essentials data speeds when its network is congested.

There's one other detail about the Essentials plan that merits attention: the sticker price doesn't include taxes and fees, unlike the T-Mobile One plan.

Facebook Wants Banks to Hand Over Your Financial Information
Facebook has pulled in $11.8 billion in advertising revenue in the USA and Canada so far in 2018. The social network is now looking at cooler growth following a years-long breakneck pace.

T-Mo also says that if you switch to the new plan, you will lose discounts on service like free line promotions, but you can keep most device promos when you're getting monthly bill credits.

T-Mobile Essentials will be available beginning August 10th. However, Sprint, AT&T and Verizon essentially moved in the opposite direction by each adding a more expensive tier of service. T-Mobile will begin offering the plan on Friday. If you don't have auto payments enabled, you'd need to pay $5 extra per line per month. This one costs less than the others, but also offers less.

The Essentials plan is only modestly cheaper than the One plan, especially for a single line of service.

What it doesn't include are some of the perks reserved for T-Mobile One customers. Customers also get unlimited talk, text, and 2G data in Mexico and Canada as well unlimited texting and $0.25 per minute calling in other global destinations. The other options debuted many months ago.
