Logitech's popular Ultimate Ears (UE) Boom and Megaboom Bluetooth speaker lines added new family members today.

The two speakers are also compatible with the Ultimate Ears Power Up charging dock that will allow users to wirelessly charge the latest UE Boom 3 and UE Megaboom 3.

Following in the footsteps of the wildly successful UE Boom, Boom 2, and Megaboom (for some reason, we never got a Megaboom 2), the $149.99 Boom 3 and $199.99 Megaboom 3 both offer "carefully balanced" audio and 360-degree sound letting you hear every note "just as the artist intended".

Both speakers now feature an IP67 rating, which means they're dustproof and can survive submersion in up to 3 feet of water for 30 minutes, so they're flawless for all environments.

UE moved the charging port to the back of the speaker, instead of on the bottom like the previous generation speakers.

On the sound side, MEGABOOM 3's bigger passive radiators should make for a louder-sounding speaker with implements in the low-end.

Asus shows off new 'world's most compact' ZenBook laptops
The Asus Zen AiO is an all-in-one (AIO) that is said to have been designed for content creators and graphics professionals. In terms of design, the laptops feature an ErgoLift hinge mechanism that tilts the keyboard for comfortable typing.

On top of the speaker is a new "Magic Button", used for controlling music playback. Having spent some time listening to the speaker myself, I can say it definitely pumps out more bass than you'd expect, given the 8.9-inch height.

UE sent me a Megaboom 3 and gave me access to the new app ahead of the announcement. Additionally, the company claims an improved Bluetooth range of up to 150 feet helping enhance portability and use across the house. You'll need to download its bespoke app to set up your favourite playlists, but you can then skip through any song and even cycle through your added playlists without going near your phone. This lets you quickly play, pause, or skip your tunes akin to the way some in-line remotes behave for headphones.

The new Boom 3 and Megaboom 3 are available in four two-toned finishes: Night (Black), Sunset (Red), Lagoon (Blue) and Ultraviolet (Purple).

At launch, there will also be support to long-press the button to bring up favorite playlists from Apple Music and Deezer, although there's now no word on whether this will be compatible with other streaming services down the line. The BOOM 3 and MEGABOOM 3 will go on sale in the U.S., and select countries in Europe and Asia, in September.

The new speakers are slated to launch in September, with the Boom 3 priced at $150, and the Megaboom 3 priced at $200.
