The knee injury suffered by United States global DeAndre Yedlin in Newcastle's 2-1 loss to Tottenham on Saturday is "not serious," the club has confirmed.

Yedlin went down with an apparent knee injury during the latter stages of the defeat to Tottenham at St. James' Park, and was unable to finish the match.

Newcastle United have confirmed United States defender DeAndre Yedlin did not suffer a serious injury in their Premier League opener.

However, the club have confirmed that follow up tests showed the damage was not as bad as first feared.

Korn singer Jonathan Davis’ wife Deven dies at 39
As further noted by TMZ , Jonathan Davis filed for divorce from Deven in October, 2016, due to irreconcilable differences. According to TMZ , Deven had not yet been served the restraining order and was unaware it had been filed.

The only additional information provided in the release is that Yedlin "has been assessed and undergone treatment this week and is likely to resume training with his team-mates shortly".

Yedlin played an integral role in Newcastle's survival last season, forming a brilliant partnership down the right wing with Matt Ritchie.

However, that dream never materialised and the former Liverpool manager has been left with just Yedlin, Javier Manquillo and Paul Dummett as senior full backs for the season.

The weekend was a very good one for Americans in Europe but fears over the severity of Yedlin's injury overshadowed the progress made by players such as Tim Weah and Emmanuel Sabbi.
