Nintendo's next mobile game launches on September 27th

After years and years of stubbornly resisting what always seemed like an inevitable mobile expansion, video gaming giant Nintendo made its timid Android and iOS debut back in 2016 with Miitomo. With Mario Kart Tour, a smartphone variant of its popular Mario Kart series also in the works, Dragalia Lost is its first attempt at a completely original mobile game minus any of its notable Nintendo icons. Fire Emblem Heroes continues to be the bright spot for the company, having earned an estimated $400 million worldwide.

Nintendo shared the news via Twitter, and announced that "service for Nintendo's upcoming mobile game Dragalia Lost begins in the U.S., Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Macau on September 27".

The game is an action JRPG, and being developed by Cygames, it's probably going to be very interesting, considering the pedigree.

We know little else about the upcoming game, but that will change soon.

Find out more later tonight. You will be able to watch it here (YouTube).
