The confirmation is the first case in a domestic animal or human ever reported in Steuben. The traps were collected from the 75225, 75041, 75205 and 75225 zip codes of Dallas, Garland and University Park.

Door County residents should be aware of West Nile virus and take some simple steps to protect themselves against mosquito bites.
