OPPO R17 with Gorilla Glass 6 & In-display Fingerprint Sensor Goes Official

Oppo listed the R17 on its official website last week with a dummy price of CNY99,999. Oppo has launched the R17 in China today, and it's the first smartphone to sport the newly announced Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 Mobile Platform. While the OPPO F9 came with patterned glass back body with gradient finish, the OPPO R17 comes with a plain gradient finish.

As for the rest of the specifications, the R17 Pro will definitely be using the Waterdrop notch design and has a 6.4-inch Full HD+ display. The version with 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage will be CNY3,499 which is almost $510/€450. Talking about the cameras, the OPPO R17 sports dual rear cameras featuring 16MP primary sensor f/1.8 aperture and a 5MP secondary sensor. Other highlight features of the R17 include an in-display fingerprint scanner, up to 8GB of RAM and the 25MP AI-powered selfie shooter. It has a 25-megapixel front-facing camera with AI Portrait mode, f/2.0 aperture, and Sony IMX576.

It is backed up by 3500mAh battery with VOOC flash charge and it has an in-display fingerprint sensor that can unlock the phone in 0.41 seconds.
