Patriots release wide receiver Kenny Britt

The New England Patriots have released wide receiver Kenny Britt.

The move leaves the Patriots even more depleted at wide receiver heading into the regular season.

However, Britt missed most of training camp with a nagging hamstring injury and only recently returned to practice in a limited capacity.

The team also signed veteran Eric Decker to a one-year deal on August 3, although he has struggled at times with dropped passes since joining the Patriots.

Still it noted that it was the second best city airport, and is only two per cent behind first place victor Heathrow Terminal 5. Serving just under ten million passengers a year, it is included in the " Small airports " table for the whole of the UK.

Britt was signed by the Patriots on December 13, 2017, after being released by Cleveland on December 8. The rest of the players vying for snaps and/or roster spots includes Eric Decker, Cordarrelle Patterson, Devin Lucien, Paul Turner, Riley McCarron and Braxton Berrios.

Britt, who will turn 30 years old in September, caught just two passes for 23 yards in his three games with New England last year.

Britt didn't play a ton with the Patriots.

And for what it's worth, and as previously reported, Guerrero has been allowed in the Patriot locker room before and after games since his falling out with Belichick, but has had to fly down to road games on his own dime and schedule. That manifested itself in June's mandatory minicamp, when Brady shouted words of encouragement to Britt after they connected on a long pass play. The gap turned out to be insurmountable. There are a lot of unproven young wideouts in the group. "Honestly, that's all you can ask for", Edelman said. "But I'm excited for their opportunity, and I'm definitely confident in them".
