Raiders Could End Up Trading Khalil Mack Due to His Holdout

Mack has been selected to three pro bowls, he has two first team all-pro selections, he was the AP Defensive player of the year in 2016, and was named an all-pro at both defensive end as well as outside linebacker in 2015.

And the Raiders simply aren't willing to give him that kind of money. From this standpoint, it is essential for the Raiders to bring back top value for Mack if they do in fact decide to trade him. Mike Freeman of Bleacher Report says that there is a "20 to 30 percent chance and increasing every day" that the Raiders will deal Mack, however, which should perk ears up around the league. It would be nice if it were a pass rusher that could help replace some of the void Mack will create upon his departure, but that shouldn't be a deal breaker. Yes, acquiring Khalil Mack would make the Packers a championship caliber defense.

Gutekunst never said Mack by name during his answer, but he caught himself from saying too much more. Gutekunst acquired an extra first-round pick in next year's draft, and the Packers have tens of millions coming off the salary cap next offseason. Because Mack is on the a year ago of his rookie deal, it removes some of Oakland's bargaining power. The Rams bolstered their roster big time this offseason, and a win against them would likely change the way the media sees this team moving forward.

Thousands sign petition to appoint LeBron James as United States secretary of education
The petition has more than 5,000 supporters and is nearing its goal of 6,000 as of Wednesday afternoon. Not everyone was applauding James educational endeavors.

"I think the one guy that you did not mention, who probably carries more weight in the pass rush than anybody else on the 49ers, and that would be DeForest Buckner". They still have an elite quarterback in Derek Carr, and if Khalil Mack would hurry up and get to camp already, they will have one of the two best defensive players in all of football. I believe that the timing and the circumstances of where both teams are at with their respective franchises could be conducive towards a potential trade match.

"It would be such a steep price I could not see Bob Quinn paying as he is building this through the draft but if he could keep one of his first rounders and put together a package with other picks I could see it".

With that said, here are five realistic expectations for the 2018 season.
