Remember Michelle Wolf, Who Mocked Sarah Sanders? Her Show's Been Canceled

Netflix's latest attempt to launch successful talk shows has failed, as both The Joel McHale Show with Joel McHale and The Break With Michelle Wolf have both been cancelled, reports Entertainment Weekly. That was followed by an order for six additional episodes.

The "Daily Show" star gained widespread notoriety earlier this year after giving a speech during the White House Correspondents' Association (WHCA) dinner in which she repeatedly slammed White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. The streaming network tried a different release pattern for the extra episodes, which all premiered on July 15. Then, months later on her now-canceled Netflix show, Wolf compared Immigration and Customs Enforcement to the Islamic terrorist group known as ISIS.

Last February when Wolf's upcoming show was announced, Wolf said, "You can expect the types of jokes my former bosses would tell me we couldn't do on TV".

Netflix also dumped Chelsea Handler's self-titled talk show late a year ago, but still is slated to unveil Hasan Minhaj's unscripted comedy show Patriot Act in October.

The streaming giant will continue to produce their other comedic talk shows Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee with Jerry Seinfeld and My Next Guest Needs No Introduction with David Letterman. The streamer also will unveil The Fix, which features Jimmy Carr, Katherine Ryan, and D.L. Hughley, along with a rotating panel of comedians.
