Samsung is preparing to lift the lid on the Galaxy Note 9 - their next flagship smartphone.

Those specs will come with a price hike, though.

Given that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 launches on August 9th, that means that the biggest game in the world could launch on Android alongside it. This time around Samsung is likely to launch a 512GB version of the phone, which may very well cross the $1,000 threshold. India has traditionally been Samsung's priority markets for its top launches, so we can expect the phone to be available by the end of this month.

Are you planning on upgrading to the Galaxy Note 9, even if it does cost quite a bit more than what the Galaxy Note 8 retailed for?

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has been the subject of much rumour and speculation with it expected to have a similar design to its predecessor - the Note 8. The phone will have two cameras on the back featuring dual 12-megapixel sensors. According to a report from Android blog Droid Life, Verizon will offer consumers who preorder a Galaxy Note 9 a second new phone for free.

For performance, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will be powered by Exynos 910 processor.

The Note 9 is rumoured to have a huge 4,000mAh battery, 6.4-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED display and 6GB of RAM.

Speaking of the Note 9's camera, that will apparently feature new AI technology created to optimize the settings based on what you're shooting, and it will show "speech bubbles" that warn you if it detects imperfections in your photo, such as blurriness. The phone will retain the company's iris scanner for biometric authentication. Also, buyers would be given the option to get both if they pay $100, the user added. The camera will feature Samsung's variable aperture system, which will allow users to switch between f/1.5 and f/2.4.

In an earlier leak that revealed a lot of details about the Note 9, a Reddit user named Wan997 posted that Note 9 preorders would give customers a choice between wireless noise-canceling headphones from AKG or a Fortnite gaming bundle.
