Samsung\'s Galaxy Note 9 has "the most innovative and high-performance smartphone display" ever tested by DisplayMate

The pre-booking for Galaxy Note 9 - which will be available in 6GB+128GB and 8GB+512GB variants for Rs 67,900 and Rs 84,900 respectively - opened in India on August 10.

The device that runs OS Android 8.1 (Oreo) has the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 system-on-chip (SoC) for the United States customers and the models powered by Samsung's very own "Exynos 9 Series 9810" chips will come to India.

The phone sets various records like the "very high absolute color accuracy", that is "visually indistinguishable from flawless, and nearly certainly considerably better than your existing smartphone, UHD TV, tablet, laptop, and computer monitor". The DeX Pad isn't exactly a needed accessory for the Note 9, but it could come in handy since it has all of the proper ports and such to help turn your Note 9 into a PC-like experience.

Other specifications of the Galaxy Note 9 include a 6.4-inch 1440p Super AMOLED Infinity Display, an Exynos 9810 chipset, a capable 12MP + 12MP dual-camera system with variable aperture and dual OIS, as well as an 8MP front-facing shooter with autofocus. It also set a peak luminance record, had the best color accuracy DisplayMate ever tested, and had precious few shifts in color accuracy and brightness, even when you view the device's screen on an off angle.

When it was all said and done, DisplayMate awarded the Galaxy Note 9's screen a grade of A+. In plain English: the Galaxy Note 9 has "the most color accurate display" ever measured by DisplayMate and can be considered "visually indistinguishable from ideal".

On the other hand, better things are en route, including the 2018 iPhone X and the Galaxy S10.

When we tested the true-to-life hue accuracy, we found that the Note 9 captured a Delta-E rating of 0.34 (the closer to 0 the scores are, the more accurate they are). We took some points off for its high price, which starts at $999, and Bixby's still-less-than-ideal performance.
