Teen becomes youngest woman jailed in UK for terrorism

Boular, who had been found guilty of two counts of preparing terrorist acts, remained impassive throughout yesterday's sentencing.

She had planned violent attacks in the British capital, using coded language themed around a tea party, after United Kingdom authorities stopped her travelling to Syria to marry an IS fighter she had met online.

Dean Haydon, Britain's top counter-terror police officer, said then the plot "involved a family with murderous intent, the first all-female terrorist plot in the United Kingdom connected to Daesh (IS)".

Boular was sitting her GCSEs when she was seduced online by the Isis fighter Naweed Hussain, 32, who was originally from Coventry.

The Old Bailey was told they planned a major terror attack on the streets of London using the code "Mad Hatter's tea party".

The judge said: 'In my view there's insufficient evidence to say at this stage this defendant is a truly transformed individual. The judge alleged she was an ongoing threat with "deeply entrenched" views.

She began to discuss her plans online with who she thought were Islamist sympathisers but who were, in fact, undercover intelligence agents who gather information on her plans.

Safaa's lawyers told the court the teenager - who normally wore a burka but changed into Western clothes throughout her trial - had been "groomed" into Islamist ideas and is now "no longer a Muslim".

Instead Boular chose to plan an attack in Britain, detailing it in coded language - such as using "pineapples" for grenades - to online contacts, who were in fact undercover agents.

Barcelona 'agree personal terms' with Vidal ahead of £27m move
The Chilean will cost Barcelona around €20 million and was requested directly by Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde. Barcelona will pay Bayern £27million for Vidal , who has won the Bundesliga in each of the last three seasons.

But Hussain, a British Pakistani who joined IS in Syria in June 2015, was killed there a year ago.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Dean Haydon, senior national coordinator for Counter Terrorism Policing, said: "This investigation started with Safaa and her attempts to travel out to Syria, marry a Daesh fighter and support their terrorist activity".

Her sister Rizlaine, 22, and her mother Mina Dich pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to taking over the plot and planning their own attack, after Safaa was arrested by police in April past year. They pleaded guilty to terror offences, but Safaa Boular denied involvement in the plot.

While in custody, she discussed further attacks with her older sister Rizlaine Boular, 22.

Rizlaine Boular set about arming herself and scouting out targets around the Palace of Westminster, all the while being aided by her mother Mina Dich.

She was jailed for life with a minimum term of 16 years, having admitted preparing acts of terrorism.

The older sister shared her plans with Khawla Barghouthi, 21, and even practised the knife attack at the friend's home in Willesden, north-west London.

Their mother, Dich, 44, was imprisoned for six years and nine months.
