The Big Bang Theory To Wrap After Season 12 Showrunners Confirm

Television, CBS and Chuck Lorre Productions said, "We are forever grateful to our fans for their support of The Big Bang Theory during the past 12 seasons".

TV and Chuck Lorre Productions announced the news in a joint statement. The news comes as a surprise, as Kelly Kahl, president of CBS Entertainment, said earlier in August that the network was hopeful for a 13th season.

The series finale will air in May - let's just hope it goes out with a bang, eh?

Per Deadline, The Big Bang Theory, a painfully unfunny sitcom that has nonetheless been a big-ass hit, will conclude at the end of its approaching 12th season.

The twelfth and final season will premiere Monday, Sep.

But I will concede that the show has done some good.
