Fortnite's 5.21 update is now available across all platforms, introducing yet another new weapon to the game-the Heavy Sniper-and making a handful of bug fixes to both Battle Royale and Save the World.

Sniper Shootout, the sniper rifle exclusive limited time mode, is also back with V5.21 for a limited time, and will not include access to scoped assault rifles. The weapon comes in epic and legendary variants, dealing around 150 damage to players, or 1050 to buildings. The new weapon is the Heavy Sniper Rifle, which deals massive damage to people, and even more damage to structures. Whether or not it will be as controversial in practice remains to be seen, but if fans dislike it, then Epic could remove the heavy sniper rifle from the game to rework it. The Soarin' 50's mode allows gamers to re-deploy their Gliders when falling from large heights. This mode is a twist on the traditional 50 vs 50 mode, featuring an extra emphasis on mobility. Typically, Fortnite usually only lets players use their gliders when they first jump out of the Battle Bus, use a launch pad, or when they go through a rift, so Soaring 50's will let players use gliders a lot more freely than they ever have before. Essentially, when you're in mid-air and greater than 10m up, you'll be able to press "jump" to deploy your glider.

The heavy sniper rifle is the update's hardware addition.

Floor Loot spawns reduced by 50%.

They are important qualities. "We have improved the squad and that was the (first) goal". That's why we were also keen on back-ups.
