President Trump unloaded on the protesting NFL players who chose to demonstrate during the performance of the USA national anthem Thursday night, saying all athletes should "stand proudly" during the 'Star-Spangled Banner'.

"The NFL players are at it again - taking a knee when they should be standing proudly for the National Anthem", the president wrote.

Trump took notice of a small number of players who protested during the anthem in various ways. Players from the Philadelphia Eagles, Jacksonville Jaguars, Seattle Seahawks and Miami Dolphins protested in some form, either by kneeling, raising their fists, or declining to take the field during the respective renditions of the Star-Spangled Banner. Some other players stayed in the locker room, which is supposed to be allowed by the new National Football League policy.

Instead of calling for unity at the year anniversary of the deadly white supremacist "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, Virginia last year, CNN's Jake Tapper noted that Donald Trump is instead sowing division by condemning National Football League players for kneeling to protest racism.

Before he entered the meeting, Guajardo said Mexico was getting close to overcoming sticking points with the United States. Trump went on to warn that he would tax Canadian auto exports if Washington and Ottawa could not arrive at a deal.

"I think that the more that we give credence to stuff like that, the more it's gonna live on", Rodgers said in an interview with NFL.com reporter Mike Silver last week.

"Guy who won the presidential election", said the Tweet, which cited the Trump Tweet.

There's proof he is: On May 19, Jordan hosted a footall camp in New Orleans, which is featured in his pinned tweet. Jordan also asked Trump for a statement on this weekend's scheduled white supremacist "Unite the Right" rally in Washington, D.C. What a Goober. He is who I thought he was.
