Tyrod Taylor suffers wrist injury in preseason game against Philadelphia Eagles

The Cleveland Browns took down the Philadelphia Eagles 5-0 on Thursday night, in a game nationally televised on Fox.

The Cleveland Browns endured some nightmare injuries but came away with their second win of the preseason with the reigning Super Bowl champion, Philadelphia Eagles in town. He didn't return to the game and coach Hue Jackson didn't have an update on his status after the contest.

Pierre Gasly was caught slightly unawares by the call from Helmut Marko saying he would be promoted from Toro Rosso to Red Bull next season.

Jackson said both Taylor and Ward will be re-evaluated Friday.

The Browns leave their third and generally most important preseason game with major questions surrounding their offense, starting with why their starting quarterback left FirstEnergy Stadium before the game was over. "I feel comfortable and confident that he is going to be OK, and that will happen". He returned to the sideline and later returned to the game, playing the final three series of the first half. "We will check everything tonight and see where he is, but hopefully, everything will be OK". If not, that assignment would go to Mayfield, the No. 1 overall pick in the NFL Draft this year out of Oklahoma.
