Band members rode around New England in a 164 International Harvester Metro van with a cartoon man and "Aerosmith" painted in bright colors across the side.

The stars of "American Pickers" discovered a van that belonged to Aerosmith in the 1970s.

A 1964 International Harvester Metro found in MA by a reality television show is none other than the first touring van used by the legendary rock band Aerosmith.

Mike Wolfe and Frank Fritz, hosts of the History Channel show American Pickers, found it in Chesterfield, a town of about 1,200 residents 100 miles west of Boston.

Wolfe, who searched the United States with Fritz looking for neglected American antiques, said it is "a piece of American rock and roll history".

Warner Bros Interested In James Gunn
Another producer noted they can't presently speak with James Gunn until his exit from Disney is complete. Because of this, Disney may have to offer Gunn a payout of $7 million to $10 million - or even higher.

The van sat not far from a house on the property of a man who goes simply by "Phil.' It was missing a door, sitting on flat tires and the paint was rusting off".

Aerosmith formed in 1970, and according to Boston.com, the van's authenticity was confirmed by Ray Tabano, the band's original rhythm guitarist who was only in the band for a year. Tabano then apparently got a call from his old bandmate and made his way over to the farm to confirm its legitimacy.

"I'm afraid to say how long it is, but it's been like 40 years since we've been in this thing", Tabano said in the episode.

"This guy is deep in the woods, he's off the grid, and I keep thinking to myself, 'what the heck would this van be doing here?'" Mike Wolfe mused on the van's unexpected location.

"This is it, baby", Tabano said he when he took a look inside the van as he recognized the carpet on the ceiling falling off, just as had it was when the band used it. When Phil purchased the property, he told the Pickers that the van was already there.
