A man has been branded "stupid and dumb" after he was caught on camera pounding his chest before immediately being charged at by a huge bison.

Lindsey Jones shared the video on Facebook this week, showing a man out of his vehicle approaching a bison, flexing and grunting at the animal.

The bison - which can weigh up to 2,000 pounds and stand 6 feet tall - is having none of it and promptly charges at the man, video posted to YouTube by KRTV News shows.

Many people have asked if we've seen the viral video in which an individual is seen hazing a bison in Yellowstone. Not only is confronting the wildlife in Yellowstone risky, it is also illegal.

Yellowstone National Park officials advise visitors to stay at least 100 yards away from bears and wolves, and at least 25 yards away from all other animals, including bison and elk, WKMG reports.
