Young Thug Arrested on Felony Gun Charge

Rapper Young Thug was arrested in Los Angeles after officers found a concealed firearm inside his vehicle, authorities said Friday.

The party for Slime Language-a showcase for Young Thug's YSL Records that was released today-was held at the Hollywood Dave & Buster's.

The party also doubled up as a birthday celebration for Thug (real name Jeffrey Lamar Williams), who turned 27 yesterday. He was being held on $35K bond.

Update (2:00 p.m.): Young Thug has been released from custody, Pitchfork reports.

Also found installed on the laptop was the software he'd made use of to execute said hacking. The federal police said it could not comment on the case as it is still before the court.

According to The Blast, the rapper and his entourage were leaving the party when one of the cars he was traveling with hit a police vehicle. Authorities then proceeded to execute a search of Thugger's auto, where they discovered several guns.

However, TMZ reports that police showed up to the event in the early hours of this morning and arrested the rapper and several members of his entourage for being "in possession of multiple weapons".

"Faster then the officers got off..." Young Thug's publicist declined to comment when Highsnobiety reached out.

The recording artist posted on Twitter that the party was to celebrate his new album.
