The Wales international's contract with the Gunners runs out next June.

But it is understood Arsenal withdrew the offer at the final hour, pulling out of the deal before the final contract could be drawn up.

Ramsey is approaching the final months of his deal with the club and both parties have been unable to reach an agreement over new terms.

Arsenal are prepared to cash in on Aaron Ramsey in the January transfer window as they seek to control their wage bill, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Gunners have been working on a new long-term deal for the midfielder for well over a year and Unai Emery is desperate for the 27-year-old to put pen to paper.

Those comments revealed in the final days of his campaign for the White House, Trump apologized, calling it "locker room talk". She continued: "I wouldn't characterize him as not friendly - he was just nervous and not really wanting to speak with me".

It was unclear why the negotiations broke down, although the BBC reported that Arsenal "decided they could not proceed" with an offer.

"Most likely he'll leave for free next summer, unless the ideal opportunity for both parties arises in January".

The Wales global will be able to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from January 1 or leave Arsenal as a free agent in the summer.

Ramsey has been a key part of Arsenal's first team in recent years having provided 59 goals and 59 assists in 338 games since joining the club from Cardiff City ten years ago and has scored some important goals to help the club win 3 FA Cup's.

He has gone on to make 336 appearances for the north London club in all competitions.
