Big boots: Rashford's numbers put him up there with Ronaldo

A report claims that Jose Mourinho will focus all his attention on turning Marcus Rashford into one of the world's best after growing frustrated with Anthony Martial.

This is in stark contrast to his club form, as the 20-year-old hasn't scored for Manchester United this season. Possibly Everton is the sort of club you are looking at, just below the top six, for someone like Rashford, similar to what Lukaku did.

Lukaku, who has 43 goals in 77 games for his country, scored three times in Belgium's recent global victories over Scotland and Iceland.

"We have to remember that Harry Kane at that age had hardly played anywhere near the matches for Spurs", he added, emphasising that Rashford is yet to reach his full potential and will continue to improve. Subscribe to our SMS sports service by texting "SPORTS" to 22840.

Even with some of the step-overs and things [Cristiano] Ronaldo was doing at that age he wasn't converting them into the number of goals, so we have to give him [Rashford] time to develop. There is huge competition for places at his club so you can understand that.

Debenhams comment by Sports Direct forces watchdog to intervene
Mr Bentley, who was speaking on the day of Sports Direct's annual general meeting, later clarified his remarks. Sports Direct had said before the meeting that Ashley would not be attending due to other demands on his time.

"One of the biggest concerns is playing time for English players - that is shown by a number of the squad who came with us in Russian Federation not getting opportunities", Southgate said in a press conference last month.

"His confidence will be boosted I'm sure, two goals against top-quality opposition in both games". They have a hard job to do and they have big squads in the top six, with huge competition for places. Jose thinks the world of Marcus. He's a huge admirer of him, but he has got his job to do.

Rashford has started just once for United this season, but twice with England in the space of four days.

The Wythenshawe-born forward was sent off for United in the club's final fixture before the worldwide break, a comfortable 2-0 away victory against Burnley.

He has featured at two World Cups and one European Championship, with Belgium reaching the last eight or better in all three tournaments. They play a lot of games so he will get his opportunity.
