Bills Trade McCarron to Raiders

He entered training camp looking like the Bills' Week 1 starter at quarterback, and perhaps he'd hold that job until Allen was ready. That was followed-up by getting the start in Cleveland the following week, where he was just 3/6 for 12 yards and left the game with a shoulder injury that kept him out the third preseason game.

This is the second trade the Raiders have made Saturday.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bills received a fifth round pick from the Raiders in the deal.

In return, the Raiders are sending the Bills a 5th round pick.

Democratic candidate for Florida governor targeted with racist robocalls
DeSantis denied that race had anything to do with his comments, but instead argued he was focusing on "ideas and principles". His comments prompted fierce backlash, with critics suggesting the remarks had racial undertones or were outright racist.

The Bills have yet to announce their starter.

Prior to joining the Bills, the 27-year-old McCarron spent the first four seasons of his career backing up Andy Dalton as a member of the Cincinnati Bengals. This move is a clear signal that he had been pushed out of the running for the starting job, meaning that Nathan Peterman will likely have the first shot at the starting job with rookie Josh Allen as the primary backup.

The Raiders hope that McCarron won't see the field, but at the very least on a rough day for the franchise they have built in some insurance for Derek Carr's health, which has not been fantastic over the past two seasons. EJ Manuel played OK, but he's a known commodity at this point.

Was it enough to keep him on the roster? The Raiders have a new backup.
