The Latest: Trump meets with Israeli Prime Minister

Earlier, Trump chaired a meeting of the United Nations Security Council where he claimed that China was trying to meddle in the election because of his war with China over tariffs.

Donald Trump has accused China of attempting to "interfere" in the USA midterm elections because they don't want him to win. And we are winning and we're winning big.

Mr Trump said China did not want his Republican party to do well in the upcoming elections because he would continue imposing tariffs.

On Tuesday, Director of National Intelligence Dan Coats warned that China's growing prowess in cyberspace is a bigger, more unsafe threat to the United States than Russia's attempt to undermine US elections.

Mr Trump vowed that re-imposed sanctions will be "in full force" and urged world powers to work with the United States to "ensure the Iranian regime changes its behavior and never acquires a nuclear bomb". It could also be lots of other people. The notice, published by the China Digital Times, said the Chinese tariffs are meant to split "apart different domestic groups in U.S".

This is not the first time Trump has accused China of what he calls election interference. Trump echoed those comments on Twitter.

On other tense subjects, Trump's criticism of Germany's pursuit of a direct energy pipeline from Russian Federation drew a dismissive headshake from a member of the US ally's delegation, and his mention of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Qatar all in one breath was received with stone-faced expressions by Saudi officials.

"I need to point out that China has all along followed the principle of non interference in other country's domestic affairs".

He also praised Iran, Russia and Syria, for temporarily slowing their offensive against Idlib province in Syria.

He said, "Hillary Clinton's Emails, many of which are Classified Information, got hacked by China".

A year ago at the UN, Mr Trump belittled North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un as "Rocket Man" and threatened to annihilate the country, but on Wednesday he touted the "the wonderful relationship" with Mr Kim and teased that details of a second summit between the two men could be released soon.

Iran did not request to speak at the council meeting, but Iranian President Hassan Rohani told a news conference that the United States would eventually rejoin the nuclear deal and pledged Tehran's continued commitment to the accord.

China has openly stated that they are actively trying to impact and change our election by attacking our farmers, ranchers and industrial workers due to their loyalty to me.

Trump also signed a new National Cyber Strategy on September 20 that called out China for engaging in "cyber-enabled economic espionage and trillions of dollars of intellectual property theft".

"That's because we are beating them on Trade, opening markets, and the farmers will make a fortune when this is over!" the tweet said. But those days are over.

Later in the day, Trump addressed the advertorial directly and said China was attacking the farm belt with "ads ... that don't look like ads".

In China, those remarks did not find a receptive audience.
