Clemson travels to Atlanta and cruises past Georgia Tech

Following their 24-19 loss to Pittsburgh last week, the Jackets must quickly pick themselves back up, as their hard schedule leads them to face off against one of today's premier college football programs when Clemson comes to town on Saturday. The future of Clemson football is Lawerence. "Certainly, we're going to have to play better to have a chance this week". "We just planned. We had a lot of practice and felt very prepared going into this game".

The Yellow Jackets got off to a sluggish and bad start against the Panthers and was down 21-0 at halftime. The Tigers are utilizing two quarterbacks as Trevor Lawrence has thrown for 424 yards and five touchdowns while Kelly Bryant has 405 passing yards with two scores and 125 rushing yards with two more scores. The Yellow Jackets need their senior leader to right himself and find consistency in the passing game if they are going to get their season back on the right track.

The Jackets will be without leading running back KirVonte Benson who had his season cut short after suffering a knee injury last week. Travis Etienne rushed 11 times for 122 yards and a touchdown and Spartanburg High alum Tavien Feaster ran eight times for 75 yards and a 27-yard touchdown. The Tigers have failed to cover the spread in all three games so far while hitting the under in two of three. The Tiger defense did not allow a Yellow Jacket pass completion until late in the third quarter and limited the Georgia Tech offense to just over three yards per play for the game. With seemingly the game in hand, Clemson would return most of its offensive starters with Lawrence to the game.

Oxford United v Manchester City: Danilo in line for City return
City fans may recall that him setting up Bernardo Silva's victor in the pre-season game against Bayern Munich at the end of July. The first goal too, an wonderful assist - and the second. "It's hard to put into words - it hasn't fully sunk in", said Foden.

In the Tigers' first big road win of the season (over Texas A&M), it was Bryant - the graduate senior and returning starter - who was entrusted with the ball when the game on the line.

Guiding Clemson down the field like a veteran, Lawrence completed six passes for 54 yards - shoveling a toss to Etienne with five seconds left in the half to restore a commanding three-touchdown edge before the Tigers headed to the locker room. With the win, which marked Clemson's fourth straight victory over Georgia Tech for just the third time in program history, Clemson remained undefeated at 4-0 overall and 1-0 in the ACC, while Georgia Tech dropped to 1-3 overall and 0-1 in conference play. The Jackets will need to quickly regroup if they are to get back on track, but with a matchup looming with the third-ranked Clemson Tigers, it's hard to see that happening this weekend. Clemson has also now taken four in a row from the Yellow Jackets - tying the Tigers' longest streak in this rivalry, which dates back to 1898. Tech falls to 1-3 on the season and will take on Bowling Green, next Saturday at Noon from Bobby Dodd Stadium.
