Cristiano Ronaldo Was Sent Off On His Juventus Champions League Debut

This marks the first red card for Cristiano Ronaldo in 154 Champions League appearances.

"Murillo put his hands on Ronaldo first, he reacted, but these things can happen and we must be stronger than everyone and everything".

The sending off could mean that Ronaldo will be suspended for at least two Champions League games, including a potential return to Old Trafford to take on former club Manchester United on 23rd October.

Cristiano Ronaldo's Champions League debut for Juventus lasted only 29 minutes as he was red-carded but the Italians began their Group H campaign impressively with a 2-0 victory at Valencia on Wednesday.

The Portuguese forward was reluctant to leave the field at the Mestalla and appeared to be on the verge of tears as he finally walked to the tunnel in disbelief.

Murkowski speaks out on allegations against Kavanaugh
Both Ford and Kavanaugh will testify in a public hearing about the alleged incident on Monday, according to the New York Times . The accusation, which Kavanaugh has denied , is consuming Washington, where the nomination's fate is suddenly in limbo.

Despite their numerical disadvantage, Juventus scored both of their goals without their star man with Pjanic tucking away his spot kicks in the minutes either side of half-time. [MarinoPeixoto]Cristiano Ronaldo getting a red card on his European debut for Juventus might not be fair but it certainly is amusing.

"At 2-0, the team sacrificed itself to avoid conceding goals".

On a disastrous night for Real as they lost a Madrid derby for the first time in 14 years, Ronaldo kicked out at Atletico captain Gabi in the final few minutes and was shown a straight red.

'Today the guys played really well, up until the red card we had many balls played towards goal, then we deservedly went ahead and after being up 2-0, as is normal, we gave up some opportunities, ' he told Sky Sports.

"There's nothing in that ... one of the worst referee decisions I've seen for a long, long time", one commentator said for Optus Sport.
