One thing was clear: There's a lot riding on Thursday's Senate Judiciary Committee hearing.

"They do not want me or us to win because I am the first president to ever challenge China on trade, and we are winning on trade", Trump continued. He was not. That came after a report claiming he discussed using the 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.

"I was accused by, I believe it was four women", Trump said. The president insists the accusations are false and he's accusing Democrats of playing politics. He suggested that Ford would get "her day in court", apparently referring to testifying in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee under oath tomorrow along with nominee Kavanaugh.

"It's possible that they will be convincing", Trump said.

Trump called the allegations against Kavanaugh "false accusations", but stopped short of calling his accusers liars. "And he may have had a bad past, who knows?"

Trump's commentary on the victims of sexual assault were clearly backed the accused, but he briefly appeared to empathize with women who haven't spoken out or filed complaints against assailants.

Trump has also told allies that he wished Kavanaugh's Fox News interview Monday had gone better, believing it was a missed opportunity to change the momentum around the story, according to the two Republicans and another outside adviser.

Rosenstein was summoned to the White House on Monday, three days after The New York Times reported that the deputy attorney general previous year discussed seeking the president's removal from office and proposed wearing a recording device in encounters with the president.

Finishing the rant off in style, Trump claimed he had declined to meet Canada PM Justin Trudeau at the UN.

Addressing world leaders and top diplomats Tuesday, the president drew laughter when he boasted that he's accomplished more during his time in office than nearly any previous administration.

On Wednesday, Trump claimed that world leaders were laughing "with" him, instead of at him.
