Dunkin' Brands joins a range of companies that have chose to spotlight new products and strategies by rolling out a name change.

For 68 years the company has been known worldwide as Dunkin' Donuts, but in 2017 a branch was opened in Pasadena, California which carried just the name Dunkin. The shortened branding will align with the company's emphasis on coffee and other beverages, Dunkin' Brands said.

The Canton, Massachusetts-based brand says the name change is one of several things it's doing to stay relevant to younger customers, adding that patrons already refer to the store as simply Dunkin'.

Dunkin' has more than 12,500 restaurants globally.

A redesigned logo maintains Dunkin's pink-and-orange color scheme and its familiar font. The new branding will appear on packaging, advertising, Dunkin's website and social media channels beginning January 1, according to the company.

I can't see any positives other than the satisfaction that she's pursuing what she believes to be true", Durbin added. Ramirez said she was heavily intoxicated the night the alleged incident happened, and can not remember many details.

Dunkin' started testing the shorter name a little more than a year ago.

The company has been considering the name change for some time.

The company said previous year that it would test out a "less is more" strategy in about 1,000 of its 9,000 US locations by paring its doughnut selection. Among its signature features is a cold-coffee tap, identical to the multihead beer taps of bars, that quickly dispense the foundations for Dunkin' specialty drinks.

The new design also incorporates a drive-thru lane reserved for the pickup of orders that were ordered and paid for via Dunkin's app.
