An all-new trailer for the upcoming Halloween sequel hit the internet this morning, delivering audiences a different side of both Laurie Strode and Michael Myers than what we had seen in the first teaser.

For forty years, memories of that nightmarish ordeal have haunted Laurie and now Myers is back once again on Halloween, having escaped a routine transfer, leaving a trail of bodies in his wake.

The upcoming sequel film will be ignoring the continuity of all of the sequels in favor of telling its own story.

John Carpenter, who directed and co-wrote the first film, will executive produce and serve as creative consultant for Halloween. The cast of this new one also includes Judy Greer, Virginia Gardner, Will Patton, Toby Huss, Miles Robbins, Jefferson Hall, Haluk Bilginer, Andi Matichak, with Nick Castle (who also starred in the original 1978 film) as Michael Myers.

"It is everything that the first movie was", Jamie Lee Curtis says of the new Halloween (in theaters October 19).
