Hardline Tories look to scupper May's Brexit plan

EU Commission President Juncker

EU Commission President Juncker

"In the summer of 2016, millions came out to have their say", she wrote in the Sunday Telegraph.

Asked if Theresa May could stay on as Prime Minister if she could not get the Chequers plan through the Commons, he said: "Oh yes".

Baker branded the entire department a "Potemkin structure", revealing that the concession-laden Chequers blueprint which the Prime Minister sprung on her Cabinet was put together behind DExEU's back while Davis's team had been working on a more robust set of proposals.

The tough comments came as former Brexit secretary David Davis branded the Chequers blueprint as being "actually nearly worse than being in" the EU.

Mr Davis, who recently resigned in protest over the Chequers plan after two years as Ms May's chief negotiator, said the proposal was "almost worse than being in" the European Union, and that Ms May could use "national interest" as a caveat to justify further concessions.

The United Kingdom continues to shamble towards Brexit, despite being seemingly unable to get its ducks in a row and put together any proposals that will lead to a trade deal with the European Union upon its exit.

But Mr Barnier said the EU could not agree to Mrs May's plan, which seeks to take the United Kingdom out of the customs union while keeping frictionless trade through a new "common rule book".

In another significant blow to Mrs May, the Remain-voting former minister Nick Boles announced that he could no longer support the Chequers plan and called for other Tories to follow suit.

Cboe Said to Be Planning Ether Futures Launch by Year-End
It is nearly impossible to predict the evolution of Ether's price after a giant like Cboe will launch a related futures option. According to Lee, ETH futures will provide a new stomping ground for bears, relieving the pressure on Bitcoin.

"The coming months will be critical in shaping the future of our country and I am clear about my mission", May wrote. "My disappointment about Chequers is it actually denies us a large part of that opportunity".

What she's done, is effectively given the whole idea a bit more credibility.

"To say what a GDP figure would be 15 years ahead is not a predictive power that I've known the Treasury to have in my time in politics ..."

He added: "There's a lot of talk about the leadership of the Conservative Party, changing the leader doesn't change the parliamentary arithmetic".

"We have a coherent market for goods, services, capital and people - our own ecosystem that has grown over decades", he said.

And now election strategist Sir Lynton Crosby, who helped Boris Johnson win the London mayoralty, is reportedly involved in a bid to scupper the cabinet's Chequers compromise.

The Sunday Times claimed Sir Lynton Crosby, who also advised Mrs May in last year's general election when the Tories lost their majority, is manoeuvring to derail the PM's European Union withdrawal agenda with a co-ordinated national campaign.
