Sen. Cory Booker (D., N.J.) was adamant on Thursday night that he broke Senate rules when he released confidential documents relating to Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh's service as a lawyer in the George W. Bush administration.

Explaining the background and relevance of the documents and Kavanaugh's connection to them, Washington Post reported that former Senate Judiciary counsel Manuel Miranda gained access in 2002 to records belonging Democrats on the panel.

Activists in ME send messages to Susan Collins.

Kavanaugh has been strongly favored to win the 51 votes needed to be confirmed by the Senate. Lisa Murkowski. Confirming a Supreme Court nominee takes just 51 votes and Republicans now hold 51 seats.

While the above two examples are probably worrying enough to most Black folks, Asians may also want to pay attention to Kavanaugh's apparent racism, according to one of the emails that tried to reinforce racial stereotypes.

Collins has kept quiet about how she will vote. "The email does not contradict Judge Kavanaugh's statements that he believes Roe to be settled law and that he agrees it is important precedent".

Democratic Senator Cory Booker focused on an email he said described Kavanaugh's views as a Bush White House aide on the use of "racial profiling" in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, attacks on the United States by the al Qaeda Islamist militant group.

BC adds 9900 jobs in August
The loss of jobs almost wiped out the gains made across the country in July when employment positions increased by 54,100. The agency says the economy lost 38,000 public-sector jobs last month, while the private sector shed 30,700 positions.

Many are unconvinced. Earlier this month, Francis Boyle, a law professor at the University of IL, told the Guardian he thought "Kavanaugh was put on there to ensure Roe is overturned". I care about the integrity of the Supreme Court.

The pressure on Collins and Murkowski is accordingly intense, with liberal groups running TV ads encouraging them to reject the nomination. I care about who's on there.

She also told reporters that Kavanaugh reassured her by saying he considers Roe v. Wade settled law, but in a 2003 email recently unearthed at his confirmation hearings he wrote he was "not sure" whether the case was settled law.

"Basically, she's still vetting the new information that's coming out", said her spokeswoman, Hannah Ray.

"I respect the fact that one of my jobs is to determine whether or not the candidate is qualified for the court", she said, "has the requisite experience, and has the judicial temperament, as well as respect for precedence".

Collins has previously said she would not support a nominee that would not uphold Roe v. Wade. The moderate senator said Thursday that she had not yet read the document, but from what she had been told, it did not appear to be disqualifying. Harris said he doesn't need to see a list to recall whether he's talked to anyone at the firm in the 15 months since Mueller's probe was launched. "A lot of people in ME would be disappointed if she chose to vote for Kavanaugh". Senators on both sides of the aisle have acknowledged that Roe could be overturned by the court despite being precedent.

It invited sharp jabs by other Republicans on the committee who urged them to stick to the review process outlined by Grassley and argued that the Democrats were breaking the rules as a political stunt.
