Sanders set career highs by rushing for 200 yards and three touchdowns, Trace McSorley threw for three TDs and ran for a personal-best 92 yards, and the Nittany Lions scored 35 points in the fourth quarter to pull away for a 63-24 victory over IL on Friday night. Yes, the Nittany Lions' offense continues to be a juggernaut, averaging 55.5 points per game, with 200 rushing yards from Miles Sanders sparking a second consecutive 63-point outing.

The Lions easily moved the ball up the field in the first two quarters, gaining 324 yards, but a fumble and an interception stopped drives. Freshman tight end Pat Freiermuth scored his first career touchdown on a 5-yard pass from McSorley to make it 21-7.

The Lions drove for touchdowns on their next two possessions to take a 21-7 lead midway through the second quarter. Sanders' 14-yard touchdown pass to McSorley was called back due to an ineligible receiver downfield. Corbin ran twice for 66 yards before freshman M.J. Rivers threw a 6-yard dart to Smalling.

Cam Brown and Shareef Miller provide pressure off the edge.
