In riposte, Trump says JPMorgan’s Dimon lacks ‘smarts’ to be president

Trump tweeted that Dimon "doesn't have the aptitude or "smarts" to be president, adding that he's "a poor public speaker & nervous mess".

Trump appeared to be responding to Dimon's remarks first reported by CNBC on Wednesday, in which he told reporters at JPMorgan headquarters in NY that "I think I could beat Trump".

Dimon, incidentally, was a member of Trump's strategy and policy forum prior to its disbanding, and he has praised the business-friendly tax cuts that the president signed into law a year ago. He could punch me all he wants.

"This wealthy New Yorker", Dimon said pointing to himself, CNBC reported, "actually earned his money".

Predictably, Trump did not take these comments lying down.

Hours later, Dimon walked his comments back: "I should not have said it".

Peterson also had 70 receiving yards in Washington's 24-6 win over the Arizona Cardinals . "It means a lot", Peterson said. After falling in an early hole, the Cardinals went away from the run, rushing just 15 times while attempting 34 passes.

Dimon said yesterday that he is smarter and as tough as Trump, as well as being self-made rather than having inherited wealth.

Donald Trump said Jamie Dimon isn't smart enough to run for his job, attacking JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s chief executive officer a day after the banker questioned the president's intelligence.

But the JPMorgan executive later issued a statement saying that he isn't running for president. "I get frustrated because I want all sides to come together to help solve big problems".

Previously, Dimon had said that it is "almost an embarrassment to be an American citizen traveling around the world and listening to the stupid s- we have to deal with in this country".
