IOS 12 Brings Significant Performance Upgrades to Older Devices

Further, developer Steve Troughton-Smith noted on Twitter that iOS 12.1 appears to include support for Face ID in landscape orientation.

Apple has released the new and improved iOS 12 which brings several improvements such as performance as well as stability to new as well as older iOS devices starting from the iPhone 5s and iPad mini 2 onwards. First of all, 9to5Mac found a daemon running in iOS 12.1 that seems to suggest support for syncing Memojis across iOS devices.

The widely awaited feature was pulled from the final release of iOS 12, and Apple said it needed more time to test the feature out.

As for what's coming, nothing's official yet, but there have been plenty of rumors describing a new iPad Pro with Face ID and no home button (check out the renders below). But there's still no word as to how Apple will implement Face ID on the upcoming tablets.

The new beta is now available from the Apple Developer portal, or as an over-the-air update if the proper profile is installed on a device.
